How Morphological Development Can Guide Evolution

Adaptive mechanisms mixing over a range of periods give rise to organisms. Evolution and development have one such relationship. Models have demonstrated that growth occasionally exposes interesting static qualities by sweeping across many characteristics in a single agent. These uncommon features can then be canalized by later evolution. Therefore, progress can improve evolvability given the correct conditions. Body types that are resistant to mutation are discovered by evolution; these body types are biologically integrated, but the controllers of these agencies are not. This tinkers with the development programs for controllers inside these liberal body plans enabling evolution to keep climbing efficiency inequalities.
